The Berkshire Tortoise Club is a non-profit organisation, based in Berkshire, UK. It is run by a voluntary group who all share a passion for tortoises. We were established in late 2014 when our two founding members felt the need for a tortoise club in Berkshire.
Our biggest aim at Berkshire Tortoise Club is to promote tortoise welfare in captivity. To share with pet shops and other pet businesses up to date husbandry.
We hold informal meetings to help share tortoise information with new and experienced tortoise owners. Some of our members have had tortoises since they were young, others have only just acquired these life long pets!
Our face group page is very active. You will meet novice and experienced tortoise keepers from all over Berkshire and the wider areas. We enjoy seeing photos of your tortoises and setup's. We are here to help in anyway we can. If you have a question or wish to discuss privately. You can either email the club or PM message on Facebook. The Admin team will be happy to help you
BTC Information and Tortoise Care
At Times; we have tortoises needing new homes. We try our best to re-home them and support the new owners both on our face book page and by personal message.
We hold 'pop up' stalls in country shows where we can spread the BTC ethos and help offer information on good husbandry and tortoise well-being
